Do you love to learn a secret?
Especially one you can use to WOW family and friends? Then be sure to visit the Cooking Demonstrations at the Vermont Maple Festival! Maple cooks, including former Festival class winners, and noted chefs from Vermont’s finest inns, restaurants, and bed and breakfasts, prepare their specialties in front of the assembled audience, which can watch the process every step of the way via an overhead demonstration mirror. Perhaps best of all, the onlookers are offered samples of the delectable concoctions!
Learn new ways to incorporate the special flavor of Pure Vermont Maple Syrup in your recipes. Go Gourmet, perhaps with Maple Cheesecake, Maple Marinated Strawberry Sundae Sauce, Maple Pan Seared Scallops, Maple Sesame Salad Dressing, or whatever delights will be on the schedule for this year’s Festival. Discover unique maple garnishes that turn your creations into visual treats. Many of the “secrets” are as simple as they are delicious!
The Cooking Demonstrations take place in the Exhibit Hall, located in the Bellows Free Academy Cafeteria, #6 on
your map. The building is handicapped accessible, and there is seating in the demonstration area; parking is in school lot off of Fairfield Street (Route 36) adjacent to the building. A schedule of foods to be demonstrated, and cooks and chefs who will be presenting, will be posted in the food area.
