St. Albans City School Senior Band Concert

The Main Street Stage surely has Something for Everyone! And the FREE entertainment is continuous during Festival hours. Past performances have included Country Bands, Magicians, Individual Instrumentalists, Classic Ensembles, Rock Bands, Storytellers, Choruses, Dancers, Puppeteers, and much, much more. 

Prior to the Festival in 2009 you will find a schedule on this website. A listing of performers and when they will appear on the Main Street Stage serves as a handy guide to help you to plan for times when you will want to be sure to be in front of the Main Street Stage, ready to enjoy your favorite entertainers!

2008 Schedule in review
Friday April 25

12:00 - 1:00: Inseldudler-German Band
  -  Inseldudler is a local German Oom Pa band, who perform around Vermont for many events. They regularly entertain on Church St. in the summer months, and opened the Vermont Maple Festival last year.

1:00 - 3:00: Marko the Magician, magic and hypnosis  -  Marko has performed throughout the US at festivals and special events, and will amaze you with his fantastic powers. 


3:00 - 4:00: Fiddleheads, Mark Sustic - Fiddleheads is a wonderful local group dedicated to keeping the traditions of fiddle music and dance alive in the younger generation. Mark Sustic, their leader, has taught and inspired many children and adults with performances all over Vermont.

4:00 - 6:00: Run for Cover  -  Run for Cover is a Burlington based rock band, who have performed throughout New England, and will be performing for the first time with the Vermont Maple Festival.



Saturday April 26

10:00 - 11:30: Bill Shontz, childrens storyteller  - Bill Shontz is an award winning performer, for both children and adults. He performs throughout the United States, and has recently started a Childrens Music Hall of Fame, to recognize and help perpetuate how children can be involved with and appreciate music. Bill is performing on Sunday, after the Maple Festival, at the Statue of Liberty.

11:00 - 12:00: Open

12:00 - 1:30: Joe Levesque Big Band   -  The Joe Levesque Big Band is an 18 piece big band, featuring many musicians from St.Albans and Franklin county.  They have performed on the Spirit of Ethan Allen 3 Sunday night Big Band dinner cruise, for the last 4 years.  Their music is a mix of the band music of the 40’s to today.

1:30 - 2:00: Youth Talent show Award winners

2:00 - 4:00: Prydein   -  Celtic rock band  Prydein is a Scottish Kilt-Rock band from the Green Mountains of Vermont. More commonly referred to as celtic-rock, the music of Prydein embraces the styles and tunes from all over the celtic world and fuses them with every other musical style that they can get their hands on. We welcome them for their first performance with the Vermont Maple Festival.

4:00 - 6:00: Keeghan Nolan and Band  -  Keeghan Nolan is a Franklin county phenomenon. A native of Fairfield, Keeghan recently won the Country Music Rising Star Youth Vocal competition in Nashville.  Keeghan can regularly be heard and seen on commercials in Vermont and New York, and has performed on Late Night Saturday with Tim Kavanagh.  Keeghan has recorded several CD’s and we are proud to have her perform for the Vermont Maple Festival, with her full band, this year.


Sunday April 27

11:00 - 12:00:
St.Albans City School Band  -  The City School Sr. Band is made up of over 100 6th, 7th and 8th grade students at the City School. They will be performing in New York City in June at the Jersey State Park.

12:00 - 12:30: Ballet School , Maryellen Vickery    


2:30 - 3:30: Electric Youth Dance Company

3:30 - 4:30: Citizens Band Concert   -  The Citizens Band, under the baton of Kevin Loomis, has been a staple of Franklin county music for decades.
